The Mission of Healing Hearts Transportation Outreach is to provide safe, reliable transportation to victims and the family of victims of physical and sexual abuse in order that they may receive the necessary support services for resolution and holistic healing.

Our Goal

It is our goal to work hand and hand with Child Advocacy Centers in Dekalb County, Fulton County, and other surrounding Counties, all surrounding Law Enforcement Agencies, and The Department of Family and Children Services.

Healing Hearts Transportation Outreach, Inc. provides free transportation for our sexually and physically abused children that face transportation problems to their appointments with the Child Advocacy Centers.

About Us

Healing Hearts Transportation Outreach, Inc., is a non-profit organization that was founded by Lionel Myers when he saw a need as a Detective in the Special Victims Unit in the Dekalb Police Department. The organization was formed to provide free transportation to sexually and physically abused children; they will be transported to the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy for forensic interviews that will assist in criminal prosecution against the perpetrators. HHT Outreach also transports the children to their therapy sessions in Dekalb and Fulton Counties.

HHT Outreach will work hand in hand with the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy and Dekalb’s Law Enforcement agents. When a child becomes a victim, they will directly go to these two entities. These two entities will in turn contact our organization to arrange transportation. We will also work with the Department of Families and Children Services.
